Would Chinese Food Ruin A Diet?

all i had today was a slimfast shake for breakfast, 1 boiled egg for lunch, and my father brought us chinese food= house rice, boneless spareribs, egg roll… would this ruin a diet? and what should i do to burn off those calories today? please answer…

Your lunch and breakfast is really not that healthy.. i mean one boiled egg? How much do you regularly eat in a typical day? You should be eating at least enough calories – to lose weight you need to only have a deficit of 500 cals(meaning 500 cals less than the calories you need to maintain your current weight) and having a very large deficit for every day can be really unhealthy and you may be slowing down your metabolism or missing nutrients that you need.
And no, one day of chinese food wont ruin your diet. Just eat the food in moderation, although id see why you might be inhaling all of it because your other “meals” are probably going to be leaving you starving for food. One day of overeating wont do harm to your weight loss as long as you arent overeating tons of chinese takeout food everyday.
To burn off calories, maybe jog or take a walk with someone around the neighbourhood or download an excersize routine, for example, i like Jillian Micheal’s 30 Day Shred.
Just a tip for future reference though, i do not know if you were aware of your dad bringing you chinese food for dinner but never attempt to “save up” calories for a big meal. Eat your meals spread out in smaller portions, that way you wont be absolutely starving and end up binging by the time that big dinner comes around. Same goes for any regular day – eating your meals in smaller spread out portions will help you lose weight.

No way!! Considering what you ate today then no!! If you’re on a diet then follow the five food groups! Just don’t eat too much and give your self a little treat at the end of the week! Chinese food is good for you as long as it doesn’t have a lot of fat and oil in it.

Nope. Considering how little you ate for Breakfast and lunch, go ahead and eat it. When I was on Weight Watchers, I ate chinese food every Friday in one cup serving sizes. I weighed in every Saturday Morning, and it never ruined my diet.

Try next time making it yourself with healthier oils and fresh ingredients that way you won’t have to worry about all the calories and chemicals in take out and you can eat homemade chinese every week if you want.

No, Chinese is OK to eat once in a while.
In all reality you don’t have to worry much about calories.
Just pick up on an increase in activity level, and you’ll be fine.

You have not taken in enough calories to ruin your diet, so go ahead and
enjoy.
You can only lose weight by eating, otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and won’t burn any calories at all.

Well,……yeah.Its delicious but not so good for you,but if you’ve been on your diet for a long time its working,then you should be able to take a break.
