Food, Diet And Chinese Restaurants? Please Answer?

Well its a friends birthday tomorrow and were going to a chinese restaurant. last week we went to one for my birthday and i broke my diet and ate like double what i have eaten for the last few months and more than my friends who arnt even dieting! it was like i had no self control at all :S
What can i do to avoid this happening again? if i eat calorie, protein filled food such a an egg white or 50grams of chicken style pieces from quorn(50 cals) before i go will this help? black coffee? water?

    Eat a small, healthy meal a couple hours before you go. there should be some healthier options at the restaurant, like steamed veggies and white rice. You could always ask for a to-go container even before you start eating and immediately put half of your order in there so you aren’t tempted to eat it.

    don’t serious more about it…
    In one week you can eat that you like(big meal) 1-2 times.
    and go to the field or fitness 3 time/week(1 hours / times)
    this is the best way for diet.
