What Should I Order From A Chinese Restaurant If I Am Trying To Diet?
Cold Seasame Noodles
It usually comes with shredded cucumbers and carrots, and if you’re lucky pan fried and thinly sliced egg. It’s healthy and tastes good, and they usually give you a big enough portion to last two meals. If you’re still hungry get an order of Spring rolls ( there’s usually two per order) and eat one, and save the other for next time. Spring rolls have a thinner crust, and are usually filled with veggies so it’s healthier.
Also consider the Buddha Delight or some places just call it Vegetarian Delight, it has an array of chinese and western vegetables lightly sauteed in garlic and chicken stock so it’s healthy and low fat…..and if you must put soy sauce on it ask for “low sodium soy sauce” It tastes better that way anyways.

White rice. Maybe ask them not to use any sauce and order anything that’s not fried.

A lot of Chinese-American restaurants now have a “special diet” or “health-conscious” section, usually consisting of steamed dishes. It’s basically the same meats and veggies as the normal dishes, just prepared without the heavy sauces and oils. Many of the vegetarian dishes are good, but watch out cuz a lot of it is deep-fried before sauted.

Buddha’s delight is a vegetarian side dish with few calories. Most of the soups would be another good choice. Avoid deep fried items. Other dishes consisting of mostly vegetables tend to be lower in calories. Happy eating!
