bush says dat indian and chinese middle class eat a lot more than others ..n is a reason for food shortage in the world
i find it totally absurd, food shortage is bcoz of various other reason like cash crops replacing food crops etc…wat do u people think ?

I think you misread what Mr. Bush said. He said that people were getting prosperous, for example India and China and so their eating habits were changing. This is a good thing. (Yes, Mr. Bush did say so.) This also had some effect on food shortage.
I have not quoted him but paraphrasing. Do you think now that he was totally wrong?
I think what he said has a vast meaning. Indians and Chinese are prospering and definitely they are eating more. The growth of retail sector in these two countries show that. Yet the agriculture sector has not progressed much. It is still manual and farm productivity has not been keeping pace with economic growth. In India, the growth of the farm sector is about 3% against the economic growth of 9%. In both countries the Communists are trying hard to keep it like that so that the farmers remain poor. They would then have no option but to support those communists.
Pleas do not believe Sitaram Yechury. Try to understand the real intention of Mr. Bush.

this is totaly crap, you can’t blame other country if they dont have enough food to send to other country, every country should rely on their own resources and india and china has more population then U.S. so duh they need more food and not like U.S that every one eats the fresh or good qualty food. they eat what they have

Bush has stated something which is actually a fact. Don’t we say even in our houses that the child who was eating less has grown into a man now and so is eating more? Everything shouldn’t be taken as an issue of national pride. Why no hue and cry in China over the statement? Are we the only proud people in this world?
Then we should vote BJP to power in the next elections!

Now he realized that he had spent a lot money in Iraq war and Now his people in America are in poverty and starving for food.
He himself can’t blame. therefore he finds fault with Indians and Chinese.
In the comings days, they have to depend on us for their survival.

That was very rude thing to say. He’s blaming Indians and Chinese on the high price rate whereas the highest obesity rate is of his own country (sorry if i have hurt someone but this is the truth).
